The Midwest Anti-War Mobilization was originally formed as an ad hoc grouping to plan actions in Chicago to protest the 10th anniversary of the U.S. War in Afghanistan -- October 2011. Since then we have expanded our mission to include organizing around the 9th anniversary of the Iraq invasion (March 2012) and the G8/NATO meetings in Chicago in May 2012.
